Berwick Manor is a 15th Century historical
property set in the delightful rural setting of the Bride Valley, in the heart
of West Dorset. Only 4 minutes drive from the Jurassic Coast at Burton
Bradstock. The Manor is part of the Puncknowle Manor farming Estate which is
1800 acres of Dairy and arable farming overlooking the peaceful Bride Valley,
with its picturesque villages, surrounded by rolling hills.
The Manor offers spacious, quality large family
accommodation and is stylishly equipped for your stay. There is a choice of two
reception rooms, one with an open fireplace and quieter entertaining and the
second with TV and video recorder. Plus an extra playroom for the smaller
children. The kitchen-dining area provides an Aga, electric hobs, microwave and
dishwasher. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble
drier.

With seven bedrooms this provides sleeping for
nineteen people. This comprises of one downstairs double bedroom with ensuite,
four double rooms, a dormitory with a double and four singles, and another room
with three singles. Plus we provide a cot and highchair. Two spacious bathrooms
on the second floor, the ensuite and a downstairs shower/toilet.
The house has several private enclosed gardens and
there is ample off street parking.
The rent is inclusive of all bed linen and towels
(except beach towels), central heating, electricity, initial coal/bbq
fuel.
Berwick Manor has stabling suitable for one horse
and pony, and a paddock large enough for 2-3 horses. Pond and Trout catch and
release fishing is available on the farm. Also an enjoyable, easy cycle to the
beach at Burton Bradstock or take a short 3 minute walk to the local organic
farmshop for your fresh eggs and cream supplies.
Bridport has a large Safeway and Dorchester a
Tesco. Bridport market is on Wednesdays and Saturdays and Dorchester Market is
on a Wednesday.
How to find Berwick
Manor
By road: From the A35 Dorchester to Bridport Road Drop down into the
valley to the village of Litton Cheney. Follow the road west through the
village and past the White Horse pub on the left. Keep following this road past
signs to Puncknowle. After a crossroads there is a slight hill and at the
bottom of the hill on the left is the turning to Berwick Farm. Berwick Manor
entrance is the next left.

There is a bus service from Puncknowle, or Burton Bradstock
Weekly Tariff 2006
- The tariff runs from Friday to Friday.
- Arrivals no earlier than 4pm and departures no later than 11am.
- A non refundable 25% deposit secures booking
- The balance is due 4 weeks prior to your arrival
- A good housekeeping deposit of £150 is requested on arrival, to be
returned 1 week after your stay
